Georgian Hills Vineyards is looking for the next member of our team!
As a Retail Sales Representative, you will be in the front line as a key member of our team; hosting wine & cheese pairings, vineyard & winery tours, and sharing knowledge on the tasting bar. In addition the position offers the opportunity to grow into our Tour and Event Representative, where you will work behind the scenes developing sales through our Tour and Tasting program with tour operators, local organizations, and individuals on group bookings. You will bring us enthusiasm, passion for great food & wine, and a hardworking team-oriented attitude. RETAIL SALES, FULL TIME POSITION
- Provide knowledge regarding; our wine portfolio, winery and unique attributes of the vineyard
- Assist with tastings at the tasting bar, tours and perfect pairings
- General retail duties, such as; store opening/closing duties, greet/welcome guests, using Point of Sale system, stocking, cleaning, light food preparation.
- Developing sales with local tour operators, organizations, and individuals on group bookings
- Proven computer skills, experience with POS systems, financial reports, cost controls
- Smart-Serve certification
- Flexibility in scheduling as weekend work will be required
- Previous experience in a retail and/or restaurant environment considered an asset
- Committed to providing a high level of customer service
- Comfortable addressing groups of customers
- Friendly outgoing personality- eager to learn new skills and work in a team
