Welcome Spring! Good bye Winter!
It was a long winter, snow on the ground from mid November to mid April, however this was good for our vines. Although we recorded a minus -24c our bud counts are very good with very little winter damage!
Murray and John’s crews have just been through the vines and completed all the pruning and tying, so the vineyards are looking really tidy!
The wines from the 2010 vintage are now in the final stages of blending and VQA approval, so we hope to release the new vintage at our retail store beginning the July 1st long weekend – Canada Day! Our winemaker Lindsay Puddicombe was most impressed with the Georgian Hills grape quality in 2010, and it is certainly showing in the wines – we are very pleased – our best yet!
Please note we are now open Saturday and Sunday 12 – 5pm, and in July and August we will be also open Thursday and Friday.
We look forward to seeing you all at the vineyard tasting room sometime this summer.
John, Murray and Robert.
